Ashley Futrell Hinkson

Founder, Hinkson Law
Atlanta, GA

Ashley Futrell Hinkson is the founder of Hinkson Law, an Atlanta-based firm representing founders, executives, boards, and employers facing complex legal and reputational risk. She leads the firm's four practice areas: Crisis Law PR, Employment, Investigations, and Business Law.

Her career has been defined by high-stakes judgment under pressure. As an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Ohio and as an Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan DA's Office, she tried cases in state and federal courts and presented oral arguments before federal appellate courts, watching firsthand how quickly legal exposure and reputational damage converge. She later advised global clients at an Am Law 100 firm, as well as businesses at small and mid-sized firms, on government investigations, white-collar matters, and complex litigation. Most recently, she served as a senior vetting attorney on a presidential transition team, where the stakes of preparation and the cost of blind spots were impossible to ignore.

Before law school, Ashley served as a Legislative Director for a Member of Congress and as a staffer on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Those early years in Washington shaped how she thinks about public pressure, stakeholder dynamics, and the speed at which perception becomes reality.

Today, Hinkson Law advises clients at the intersection of legal strategy, reputational risk, and business decision-making. Ashley handles crisis response, employer-side employment matters and executive representation, internal and board-directed investigations, and business counsel for founders and growing companies. Her practice is built around the observation that the most damaging problems rarely start as legal problems. They start as business blind spots that escalate because they are handled in isolation.

When she's not in the office, Ashley is cheering on her favorite college and professional basketball teams and spending time with her husband and their two teenage boys.
